I’ve mentioned the “Law of Attraction” philosophy in my previous article. To quickly remind you, the law of attraction believes that what you are thinking, is what you will be living. If you are thinking good, then good shall be upon you as well as vice versa.

The world is an incredibly noisy place in which sometimes external energy will disturb your balance. It might be in the form of rushing off from bed to reach out to your phone, rushing to commute, finishing off meetings, going back to your house without noticing your feelings in between. The demands of the materialistic world sometimes push us further away from our true potential that lies close to the universe.

I may sound quite mystical or perhaps… delusional, right now. But I would like to share a little secret that I do that really helps me in untangling the knots within me and set straight my path to reach my goals and desires.

It’s called: manifesting.

Every day that we live consciously, we always manifest. When you say to yourself “I am beautiful” you attract beautiful energy that makes you beautiful! But when you say that “life sucks” the energy that you attract could be the negative hence your life indeed may suck. This is one of the reasons that makes me speak kinder to myself. What I believe is upon me will happen, both good and bad. And even though the bad happens to me still even after I manifest the good, I step back and ask myself then: “what is this event trying to tell me?”

There are many ways you can manifest. Some people do it by writing their affirmations, and some people meditate, and many more. Here are the three steps that I personally enjoy:

1. Meditate

Beginning with clearing the physical space, try to sit or lay down in a quiet place where you will have zero distraction. Start by setting an intention for your meditation session today. Example: today I want to feel my emotions and make peace with it. Then focus on your intention, then your breathing, and don’t punish yourself for being distracted in the mind. Gently let your thoughts pass through and come back to your breathing and your intention.

2. Affirm

To the meditation, when you’re finally relaxed with your breathings, start saying positive sentences for yourself that relates to the intention you set in the beginning. Example: I am letting go of my past, I am forgiving to myself and my past. Then start visualizing the act of letting go. It might be a visual of an airplane taking off to a clear blue sky or something that resembles the affirmation sentences. To make it easier, I usually listen to guided meditation podcasts so that I am aware of the ongoing journey.

3. Believe

Be one with yourself and feel the event of your intention coming true. Visualize how it would feel to live the event and feel how it feels to actually have the thing that you wanted. Feel the joy, the freedom, the positive energy, feel what you want to feel, and then feel the gratitude.

Breathe in slowly and come back to your conscious with your eyes open, and keep on believing that you have received what you’ve visualized.

When implementing the law of attraction with an action such as manifestation could be perceived as an act of mystics or magical. Some would say that it wrongs religions. Personally, I would say the act of manifesting is separate from that of prayer. It’s simply an act of believing in yourself and the potentials within you.

I am quite a religious person myself, hence I am used to mixing the two actions: manifesting and praying. I believe that the Lord has power upon the universe and has the power upon me and my life too!

All in all, shifting mindsets, manifesting, being positive, it all takes a lot of practice, time, and patience. It takes a whole entire journey to be able to step back and see the bigger picture of an event or series of events. The most important thing is for you to believe that good things will be upon you and that we all have an equal opportunity to be happy throughout our lives.

I wish you happiness, where ever you are in this world.
